This supports Huang’s opinion that corpus-based inductive learning helps learners notice and acquire collocational patterns better, which in turn enables learners to generate more accurate patterns. However, the limited examples in the online dictionary were not sufficient to make learners in the control group fully notice the errors. Due to the native language interference, they always committed the similar errors, which could be found in their post-test. This result shows The Use of Online Corpora as Reference Resources 43 support for a number of papers [3, 4] which study the use of corpora as a reference resource for error-correction.
